Noorani Qaida vs Nazra: Which Quran Course Comes First?

Parents often ask to put a child “straight on the Quran.” If the child cannot join letters or read harakat without help, that request slows them down. Noorani Qaida exists so Nazra is not a struggle.

Qaida teaches the alphabet, joined forms, movements, tanween, sukoon and shaddah. Nazra is reciting the Holy Quran while looking at the mushaf. At EQuraan Institute we move a student to Nazra only when they can sound out an unseen word. That is the same path we have used as an electronic Quran academy for families who have no local tutor.

How to know Qaida is finished

The child reads a new line without waiting for the teacher to say it first. Short vowels are stable. Sukoon does not collapse. Then Nazra begins, still live and one-to-one, still with tajweed reminders so speed does not ruin accuracy.
